To commemorate Tower Records' 25th anniversary, Cocco re-recorded "Sing a Song ~No Music, No Life" with Quruli guitarist/singer Kishida Shigeru. After the single's release in November 2004, the band from those sessions, calling itself Singer Songer, made its live debut a month later.

Singer Songer includes Cocco, Shigeru, Quruli bassist Satou Masahi, keyboardist Hirohisa Horie (Cornelius, Bonnie Pink) and drummer Dai Tarou (FEED).

Singer Songer released its debut single, "Shoka Rinrin", in May 2005 and a full-album, Barairo Pop, followed in June 2005.
